Abilities Unleashed

  Today in Abilities Unleashed our friends from Te Puke came over. Ian brought over some musical instruments and played the pocket trumpet. 

Sports afternoon

 

 Alas no outing due to the rain. We had a sports afternoon trying our hand at lots of different challenges.DG

I had such fun singing along to the country greats. I enjoy playing the ukulele too.

Computers/Ipads

 

I watched a train journey from the drivers view. It reminded me of my old stomping ground with all the fields of sheep. I remember slashing gause. It could be Matamata.

Historic village Hunt

 

 Today with my friends I completed the Historic Village Hunt. We started in Main Street and had to find different shops. Some had toys in the windows and some we had to find out what their name meant. It was a lot of fun.DG

Literacy and numeracy

 

I put the alphabet in order. I had some great ideas for words, like o for doughnut but also octopus and orange. R for rock and roll

Marshalls animal park

 

I enjoyed the animals today, except the puffed up turkey and the pug got a bit friendly. I enjoyed feeding the baby lambs, they ate so quickly

I helped weed the garden today at Merrivale Gardens. I loved the calendulas.DG

  Today at abilities Unleashed we rubbed some Kawakawa leaves onto paper and cut them out.

I'm a poet, and don't I know it. We did a rhyming book today and I loved finding all the other words that rhyme

 What a funny creation, I enjoyed winding the wool and choosing my colours for the jellyfish. TA

The milk farm

 Today we went to the milk farm, Amy let me carry the money. We watched the milk come out of the little door.

I enjoyed doing some research in our computer session, looking up jokes and facts about Switzerland

Look at the amazing cars that came and visited us at Arohanui, it was great and the horns went "awogah"

I did great counting and recognizing numbers. I could hand over all the cards in order.
