Christmas cookies

This morning we iced Christmas cookies. I really enjoyed spreading the icing and putting decorations on the cookie. What a cool morning 🎄

Christams party

I had a great time at the Christmas party, I enjoyed the scone with cream and jam on it and couldn't stop smiling while Circus in a flash performed for us.

On Tuesday I went with guys group ten pin bowling. What cool fun it was 😁

today I tried to learn to play checkers on the iPad. It was quite difficult.

I went to visit the men’s shed at the historic village today, I really enjoyed looking at the different wooden toys

This afternoon we had a Halloween disco! What good fun we had dancing and listening to scared music 🎃 

Rose gardens

i went on a lovely outing to the rose gardens. There's a lot of flowers starting to bloom. I really enjoyed the fresh air.

Enjoying the sun

On Friday my nature study's group went and sat in the sun, we came up with lots of plans. I am very excited to make a worm garden.

Talent quest finals

On Friday I went and performed in the Arohanui talent quest finals. I sang the song country roads. I did such a great job!

Sensory work

i had a good time constructing a gear puzzle and making it work this week. I really like to join the same colours together.

Guys group

Yesterday we had a great time at Yatton park on guys group. We went for a big walk and looked for rocks to find and hide. Unfortunately we didn't find any rocks this time.

I had a great outing to the library this afternoon.

Today I went on a outing to memorial park. We took a. Ice walk in the sun. I had a great afternoon.

Practise makes perfect

Only 3 weeks until the talent quest so getting in much needed practised. I was concentrating so hard that I didnt want my photo taken. Ha ha!

For guys group yesterday we dismantled a old Freeview box, we're hoping to create a robot

Today I really enjoyed my outing to the library. I also had nature studies and we went to gate pa reserve.

I always enjoy the activities I take part in, here I am doing  computers and abit of art and craft.. the mind is a terrible thing to waste!!!

Sensory room Camping

In sensory I helped build a tent … in the rain! Lily splashed water at my face to pretend it was raining! I enjoyed it I laughed a little bit. I built a campfire and pretended to cook eggs, bacon and tomatoes on it! Deeeelish!

I have found my voice and Love to sing for my friends at Arohanui, Maybe next time im in a singing mood I get my mum to come in and watch, and maybe get someone to record it so I can send a copy to my brother Shane..

I always enjoy a good sing along, especially with my friends at Arohanui, ill even throw in a dance when you play my tunes...John Denver and Patsy Cline are a few to name.

Art and crafts

I really enjoy looking through art books to choose an interesting project. I have been working in my art book colouring in geometric shapes of my choosing. I especially like to colour using green, black and brown.

My outing to Historic Village

I had an awesome day with my Arohanui friends yesterday, we went and looked at the art exhibition in incubus and looked at other art pieces around the village, and managed to take in some sunshine.

Nice walk

Today we went for a nice walk by the Historic Village and had a look at the Mens Toy Shed

Dominoes

After spending a few weeks making the dominoes in renovation we got to have good fun and play the game, I did really well with the dominoes been big

Bunnings

yesterday I went to Bunnings with my friends and I had a great time looking at tools and the plants at the garden centre.

Waterfront

yesterday I had outing to Tauranga waterfront. I had a great time going for a little walk and looking out for some wildlife and watching a fishing boat coming into the harbour

gardening

Today in gardening I helped weed the front garden and helped re plant a lovely lavender plant.

Dominos

In renovation we are working on making a big wooden dominos set for Arohanui

Outing to The Strand

On Tuesday I went to the Strand for a little walk and enjoyed watching the water fountain

Irish dancers

Christina's nieces and thier friends came in to the center to show us their Irish dances. It was fantastic!

Something for my garden

today I finished working on my garden project.
I really enjoyed planting the succulent and helping to braid the hanger which was a group project.
It looks great and it is a thumbs up from me.

Dee's baby shower

Today was a day of dirty diaper throwing, pin the bottle on the baby, putting nappies on a baby and baby obstacle course! We had a blast! We also had to guess who's who from staff baby photos AND guess the amount of sweets in the baby bottle. I found the 'put the diaper on the baby game especially funny!

Creating art

I was busy this afternoon creating art in a cool colouring book. I used Autumn colours.

Garden art

I had a great time working on my art project today, picking out a cup to plant a succulent in and adding rocks to the top. Next week I hope to finish it and take it home for my mum!

Reno

Ive enjoyed being able to create things with my own hands with the help of awesome staff, I am told that I am very creative and have a very artistic eye for colours, I hope to create something nice for my garden and Mum.

The Lakes

I went to the lakes to feed the ducks. The ducks were so friendly and I even saw ducklings.

Out and about

I like going on outings, I get to see a lot of Tauranga. It is so much fun.
