i have been making progress on drawing in my art book, colouring in black and white picture in my unique style. I also enjoyed looking through magazines for additional inspiration.

Magnetic Blocks

It's been exhilarating.

I have enjoyed making a whirly-gig out of magnetic blocks.

Its good to be back!!

It is so good to be back at Arohanui as I have been away.

Library

I like going to the library weekly, looking at different books and being read to.

went for a walk

we manured the veggie garden and went for a lovely walk down to greerton village to look at the dollar zone shop for some art supplies

Fire place

Today in sensory we listened to the thunder and to the crackle of the fireplace.  It reminded me of an earthquake. I told stories to my friends about my earthquake experiences.

Table tennis

I had a go at playing table tennis I really liked it.

christmas lunch mid winter

Mitre 10

I went to mitre 10 with the guys group to check out the Man tools for lawn care and the hoodies. I also looked at the seed packets. 

Blankets

Over the past few weeks I've been having fun in Sensory with our Sensory blankets. I like to feel the different textures and talk about what the pictures and items on the blankets remind me of.

Art

I am helping to make a sensory game and look I caught a starfish.

Guide dogs

We had a visit from Francesca and her guide dogs Samuel and Wanda. Francesca told us all about her dogs.

Radio station

I went on a guys group outing to the Historic Village radio station. I had my name announced over the radio. They played a Suzanne Prentiss song for me.

Yarn bombing

We are working really hard on our yarn bombing as it is due to be put up next week.

Pink ribbon morning tea

We had a pink ribbon morning tea to raise money for breast cancer. I am enjoy a lovely cup of tea.

Water tricks

Today in sensory session, I helped with a water trick. I started with some oil and food colour then carefully added it to water to see what happened. It was cool.

Fun Friday

Today is fun Friday and I am going to have a great day. We made pink scones in cooking this morning.

Pet shop outing

I went to Kiwi Petz and looked at the rabbits and kittens.

Guide dog

I helped collect money for the Guide dogs, at the supermarket.

Music

We used cups to make different sounds in music. It was a lot of fun.

Guys group

Today we went to the motor cycle shop,we seen lots of fast cool bikes.we also seen all the parts you can get and the bike jackets.

fraser cove

On one of my outings last week we went to Fraser cove shopping centre, there was a new shop that had just opened called the Clearance centre we got to have a look around there was lots of bargains and good things to look at ,they were giving away free American  hot dogs as a opening special.

Train bridge

On Tuesday I went for a great outing,we went down to the strand and walked along the train bridge it was so high and exciting to get to the other side. I really enjoyed walking over the sea,we got to see lots of planes flying around.would love to do this again sometime with my friends

I love playing T-Ball with my friends at yatton park

Ohauiti cycleway

This afternoon, I went with my friend, Pete, to walk along the new Ohauiti cycle way/ walkway. I enjoyed looking at the different plants and could identify the cutty grass by its tall feathery flowers. There were some pretty tall purple flowers growing in the swamp. It was a lovely sunny, windy afternoon. I really enjoyed my walk.

Renovation

Computers

During my computer session I worked on recalling as many singers as I could and watched some of their music videos. I really enjoy Suzanne prentice , Richard Clayderman and the Beatles.

Fueling

Today I volunteered to go out with the staff at lunchtime to put petrol in the van. I really enjoyed going out to help at the gas station. Thank goodness it wasn't raining today.

Mocktails

I got to try the mocktail that the ladies in girls group made. I thought the ladies made a lovely fizzy mocktail.

Harley Shop

I went with the guys group to Action Sports Shop to see all the Harley Davidson motorcycles. It was a good visit and I checked out all the motorcycles. There also was a lot of jet skis or water boats in the shop.

Art and craft

I am glad to be back at Arohanui after my Christmas break. I am enjoying art and craft here I am painting the background for our collage.
