Christmas at Greerton

I had my first Christmas shared lunch and secret Santa here at Arohanui. I was so lucky to be apart of it. I enjoyed eating all the yummy food and getting a lil gift. I got a cool note pad and coloured pens. I can't wait to see what 2017 brings me 😊

Historic Village

Today I had an outing to The Historic Village.We looked in a greenstone shop,then we found a new cafe called The Whipped Baker.My friends liked the look of the cakes...I'm thinking about it ....but they might be too sweet !!! Then we found The Incubator Gallery and I saw some pottery that I had seen at Bayclay.I found a squashy  seat,it made me laugh when I sat on it.....it was very,very spongy !!!

More pottery !

I made a bowl in pottery.I rolled the clay over a straw mat to make a pattern in the clay,then I let it dry over a bowl shape and added little coils of clay to build a foot on the bowl. I am pretty pleased with myself.

Shopping

I had a lot of fun shopping last week.  It's almost Christmas so it's more fun than ever going out to see things.

Renovation work today

Today I had arts and crafts.  I worked on ideas for my next renovation project.  I am going to make my project out of clay.  I haven't decided on the colour yet, but I will.
